Police Expel 30 Foreigners Illegally Staying in Slovakia

Bratislava, December 22 (TASR) – The Slovak police earlier this week carried out a major inspection aimed at identifying foreigners illegally sojourning in Slovakia, and this resulted in the administrative expulsion of 30 people, Police Corps spokesperson Denisa Baloghova told TASR on Thursday.

The police focused mainly on accommodation facilities, construction sites, public areas, trains, buses and public transport terminals, plus cars and lorries.

Foreigners without permits to stay in Slovakia were found in Bratislava, in Voderady and Galanta (both Trnava region), in Tvrdomestice, Nove Zamky and Sala (all Nitra region) and in Zilina.

“Of these, 13 were from Serbia, 11 from Ukraine, while three were nationals of Bosnia and Herzegovina, two were from Armenia and one from Turkey,” said Baloghova.
