Sinay: We Lead in Car Industry, But World Doesn’t Know Much about Us
Nitra, October 14 (TASR) – The 23rd Autosalon-Autoshow Nitra expo taking place at Agrokomplex in Nitra is accompanied by various events for both professional and lay public, TASR learnt on Friday.
One traditional specialised project featured is PSA’s Subcontractors Forum organised by the French-Slovak Chamber of Commerce in cooperation with the Slovak Automobile Industry Association. The exhibition in Nitra showcases a brand new model of the Citroen C3, which was brought directly to Nitra from the Paris Motor Show. The newest Citroen model will be manufactured solely by Trnava-based carmaker PSA Peugeot Citroën.
According to Slovak Automobile Industry Association president Juraj Sinay, Nitra’s Autosalon is an opportunity for car manufacturers in Slovakia to make themselves more visible.
“We’re a leader in the automotive industry, but hardly anyone in the world knows about us. Few people know that certain car models are manufactured only in Slovakia. We need to search for ways to make ourselves more visible, also during the Autosalon, said Sinay, adding that the automotive industry is a pillar of social development nowadays.
The Autosalon-Autoshow Nitra expo showcases the latest automobile models and innovations in the industry. A total of 220 exhibitors are taking part in the event, with representatives of 25 carmakers presenting 30 new models. The expo will remain open until Sunday (October, 16).
