Stats Office: Inflation in Slovakia at 1.9 percent in December

Bratislava, January 15 (TASR) – Year-on-year inflation in Slovakia amounted to 1.9 percent in December 2018, with core inflation standing at 1.8 percent and net inflation at 2 percent, the Slovak Statistics Office reported on Tuesday.

In December 2018, month-on-month cumulative inflation was negatively influenced by core inflation by 0.31 percentage points (p.p.), while regulated prices had an impact of 0.18 p.p., and indirect taxes had no effect on cumulative inflation.

Food prices influenced core inflation by 0.02 p.p., and net inflation had a negative impact of 0.33 p.p. on core inflation.
