Prievidza/Bratislava, March 13 (TASR) – Siet (Network) vice-chair Katarina Machackova told TASR on Sunday that if the party cooperates with Smer-SD in a future Government, she’ll drop her party membership.
She was reacting to a decision of the Siet presidium earlier on Sunday deciding on entering post-election talks of Prime Minister Robert Fico’s Smer-SD.
“My attitude towards Smer-SD hasn’t changed, it’s a matter of principle. We’ve promised to our voters [not to engage with Smer], and I’ll keep that promise. This means that if Siet cooperates with Smer, I’ll drop my party membership,” she stressed.
Meanwhile, Smer has invited Siet for talks to take place at Government Office on Sunday evening.
