President Kiska Flies to Chile and Argentina for Official Visit

Bratislava, July 31 (TASR) – Slovak President Andrej Kiska left on Sunday for an official visit to Chile and for a working trip to Argentina, TASR learnt on the same day.

Both visits will be aimed at supporting further development of bilateral cooperation – particularly in the fields of economy, science, research and innovative business.

On his trips, Kiska will be accompanied by representatives of Slovak companies focused on innovations and new technologies, as well as by representatives of the academic sector.

The main political point on the agenda during the visit to Chile will be talks with the country’s President Michelle Bachelet. In Buenos Aires, Kiska will meet his Argentine counterpart Mauricio Macri.
As well, the Slovak president will meet a large Slovak expatriate community in Argentina.

Eventually, Kiska will participate in the opening ceremony of the XXXI Summer Olympic Games in the Brazilian city of Rio de Janeiro on Friday (August 5).
