LSNS: Police Return All Arms and Licence to MP Krupa

Banska Bystrica/Bratislava, April 4 (TASR) – Police on Monday returned all firearms and the licence to carry them to Kotleba-People’s Party Our Slovakia (LSNS) MP Peter Krupa, who saw them seized in late March, LSNS vice-chairman Rastislav Schlosar told TASR on Monday.

When confiscating Krupa’s arms, police told him that he should undergo psychological examinations anew. Krupa last week passed the examinations prescribed by law.

“This decision has confirmed that the bullying of MP Peter Krupa by police was absolutely unjustified, purpose-built, and carried out under media pressure and at the order of the current Government. The persecution was launched after he – in line with the law – surrendered his legally possessed gun upon entering Parliament to a member of the Constitutional Officials Guard Office,” said Schlosar, adding that Krupa has never committed a crime concerning arms or ammunition.

“Nevertheless, a hunt against him was organised in the media, obviously only because he’s an LSNS MP,” added Schlosar.
