Official: Caputova and Sefcovic Advance to Presidential Election Run-off

Bratislava, March 17 (TASR) – Liberal candidate Zuzana Caputova and European Commission Vice-president Maros Sefcovic have made it into Slovakia’s presidential election run-off scheduled for March 30 after receiving 40.57 percent and 18.66 percent of the votes, respectively, in the first round on Saturday, according to the official election results released by the State Electoral Commission on Sunday.


The list of bidders who didn’t make it into the second round included: Stefan Harabin (14.34 percent), Marian Kotleba (10.39 percent), Frantisek Miklosko (5.72 percent), Bela Bugar (3.10 percent), Milan Krajniak (2.77 percent), Eduard Chmelar (2.74 percent), Martin Dano (0.51 percent), Robert Svec (0.30 percent), Juraj Zabojnik (0.28 percent), Ivan Zuzula (0.17 percent), and Bohumila Tauchmannova (0.16 percent).
