Gal Dismisses Kasajova, almost 300 Pages from Technopol File Found

Bratislava, November 22 (TASR) – Justice Minister Gabor Gal (Most-Hid) has dismissed Bratislava I District Court president Anna Kasajova, thus taking action in a case in which almost 300 pages disappeared from a file related to the Technopol case, TASR learnt from the minister at a press conference on Thursday.

The court will now be led by its vice-president. Gal also said that the lost pages have been found.
“Three hundred pages from a file relating to the Technopol Servis case that disappeared from Bratislava I District Court have been found,” said the minister. They were found by lawyers of one of the parties concerned when looking at another file, which, according to Gal, isn’t directly from the case and relates to the commercial register as well as the Technopol case.
“We can rule out intention,” stressed the minister. “If everything had been checked thoroughly, we could have found the missing part of the file at that time,” he said. He considers this to be a managerial failure. “We were informed very late about the fact that part of the file had disappeared as early as in August. There was no immediate action, no criminal motion, and now I see that even all the files that could have been linked to this case weren’t thoroughly checked,” stated the minister.
According to Gal, the court chair didn’t consider it necessary to inform the Justice Ministry and Bratislava Regional Court president about the disappeared file. He added that it is only a matter of days before Kasajova will leave her post.
