Bratislava, March 13 (TASR) – A table knife was enough for an unidentified man to rob a grocery store in Bratislava on Saturday evening, TASR learnt from Bratislava Regional Police Directorate spokesperson Tatiana Kurucova on Sunday.
The robber ambushed two staff members – a 26-year old man and a 38-year old woman – at the rear exit as they were leaving the grocery store at 8 p.m.
“Threatening them with violence, the offender forced both to return to the grocery store. Subsequently he tied the man’s hands and then he stole an unspecified amount of cash from a strongbox that had been opened by the woman – fearing for her life and health,” said the police spokesperson.
Neither the man, nor the woman were injured in the incident. The robber is on the lam.
