Czech Conrop Wants to Create 220 Jobs in Trebisov By End of 2019
Trebisov, October 3 (TASR) – Czech company Conrop, focusing on the production, development and sale of big bags designed for packaging, handling and transport of particularly bulky and liquid materials, officially opened its new plant in Trebisov (Kosice region) on Wednesday with Vice-premier for Investments and Informatisation Richard Rasi and Economy Minister Peter Ziga (both Smer-SD) in attendance.
Conrop already launched its production in Trebisov in the summer and currently employs 50 people. However, it is planning to create a total of 220 jobs by the end of 2019.
Company managing director Radek Horak told the media that thanks to this investment in Trebisov the company will expand its production capacities as well as purchase new machines. Horak also said that half of the people currently employed in the Trebisov plant were taken from the Labour Office register.
Rasi praised the fact the investor comes from the Czech Republic. “Maybe not everyone realises that but when someone with similar habits and requirements as our investors comes to the country, even employees have it easier at the beginning,” said Rasi, adding that the Czech company has also joined the dual education project.
Ziga pointed out that the Czech company decided to open its plant in Trebisov without any state aid. The economy minister added that the state would like to give a helping hand to the investor. “We’ll surely discuss the possibilities and conditions for the state to support its production and help them in the plant’s expansion,” he added.
