Dovera Releases List of Best Hospitals Viewed by Patients

Bratislava, April 6 (TASR) – The best hospitals in Slovakia for 2016 are in Presov and Zilina regions, while the worst are in Nitra and Trnava regions, according to policyholders of the private health insurer Dovera, which on Thursday published a survey that was carried out on a sample of 7,000 respondents.

Dovera head Martin Kultan said at a press conference earlier in the day that when it comes to faculty hospitals, the best rated was the Children’s Faculty Hospital in Banska Bystrica, while the worst was the Children’s Faculty Hospital in Bratislava.

In the category of general hospitals, the patients evaluated the Hospital Kosice-Saca as the best and the General Hospital and Healthcare Centre Velky Krtis (Banska Bystrica region) as the worst.

Regarding specialised hospitals, the National Institute of Diabetes and Endocrinology in Lubochna (Zilina region) topped the chart while the Psychiatric Hospital in Kremnica (Banska Bystrica region) ended up worst.

This was the 11th time Dovera has carried out such a survey.
