Eustream & Gaz-System Announce Open Season for Slovak-Polish Link

Bratislava, August 28 (TASR) – Slovak gas transport company Eustream and Polish gas transport network operator Gaz-System have announced a binding Open Season procedure for the planned interconnection of the Slovak and Polish gas pipeline networks, TASR learnt on Sunday.

According to Eustream, Open Season is aimed at allocating capacities due to be available after the interconnection is finished.

Potential customers should present their binding bids for free capacities via the Polish-Slovak connection point by 4 p.m., September 9, CET.

In general, Open Season is aimed at determining market interest, with potential customers being given the opportunity to sign up for part of a new pipeline’s capacity rights. This initial stage of a pipeline construction project usually lasts several weeks.
