Fico to Discuss Double-quality Food in Brussels on Thursday

Bratislava, July 26 (TASR) – Double-quality food in old and new EU-member countries will be the topic of discussion between Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico (Smer-SD) and various EU officials in Brussels on Thursday, TASR learnt on Wednesday.

Fico will also speak on behalf of the remaining countries of the Visegrad Four grouping (the Czech Republic, Hungary and Poland) at a meeting with European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker, inquiring about possible measures that could be introduced by the EU executive.

Later on, Fico is due to discuss the issue with Commissioner for Justice, Consumers and Gender Equality Vera Jourova and European Council President Donald Tusk.

Fico was commissioned to represent also the Czech Republic, Hungary and Poland at a V4 summit in Budapest last week that also featured Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
