HB Reavis Launches Construction of New Bus Station in Bratislava

Bratislava, May 15 (TASR) – Real estate developer HB Reavis on Monday announced the launch of construction work on a project called Stanica Nivy that is aimed at replacing Bratislava’s existing main bus station in the area known as Mlynske Nivy.

Beginning with the construction of a 125-metre office building called Nivy Tower, the developer will continue in the summer by ushering in the construction of a new international bus terminal featuring a mall and a modern market hall on the site of the current station.

The new bus station will have three above-ground and two underground floors, with bus platforms located on the first underground storey.

The station will be accessible for both public and private transport, and the project counts on the creation of 2,150 parking spaces, but HB Reavis says that the area will also be comfortably accessible for cyclists and pedestrians.

Meanwhile, the developer stated that the new bus station will be topped by a “unique green roof” as large as two football pitches, featuring gardens, a running track and all sorts of equipment for active recreation and sport.

A substitute bus station will be in operation across the street during the construction work.
