Statistics Office: Inflation in Slovakia at 2.4 percent in January

Bratislava, February 15 (TASR) – Year-on-year inflation in Slovakia reached 2.4 percent in January, with core inflation standing at 2.7 percent and net inflation at 1.6 percent, the Slovak Statistics Office reported on Thursday.

n January, month-on-month cumulative inflation was influenced by core inflation by 0.67 percentage points (p.p.), and by regulated prices by 0.14 p.p. Meanwhile, indirect taxes had no effect on cumulative inflation. Food prices influenced core inflation by 0.35 p.p., while net inflation had an impact of 0.32 p.p. on core inflation.
