Parizek Thanks Norwegian Ambassador for Her Engagement in Slovakia

Bratislava, July 24 (TASR) – Slovak Foreign and European Affairs State Secretary Lukas Parizek on Tuesday met Norwegian Ambassador to Slovakia Inge Magistad, whose tenure as ambassador is about to end, TASR learnt from the ministry’s press department on the same day.

On behalf of Slovak Foreign and European Affairs Minister Miroslav Lajcak, Parizek presented the ambassador with the Gold Plaque for her extraordinary engagement, personal contribution and merit in building and developing bilateral relations and cooperation between Slovakia and Norway.

Parizek and Magistad concurred that the two countries are interested in boosting Slovak-Norwegian cooperation with an emphasis on the economic sphere. Magistad highlighted the importance of Slovakia’s upcoming Presidency of the Organisation for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE), which could serve as a suitable platform for implementing bilateral projects, especially with the support of Norway’s financial mechanisms.
