Poll: Kiska Most Trusted of Top Three Constitutional Officials

Bratislava, May 12 (TASR) – President Andrej Kiska is viewed as the most trustworthy person among the three top constitutional officials in Slovakia, followed by Parliamentary Chairman Andrej Danko (Slovak National Party/SNS) and Prime Minister Robert Fico (Smer-SD), according to a telephone survey carried out by AKO agency between May 4-10, the results of which were released on Thursday.

Kiska enjoyed the full trust of 39 percent of the respondents, Danko 26 percent, and Fico 24 percent. Another 40 percent of people were inclined to trust Kiska, while the figure for Danko was 39 percent and the one for Fico 28 percent.

Conversely, 12 percent were rather more inclined not to trust Kiska, while the figure for Danko was 17 percent and for Fico 19 percent. At the same time 9 percent didn’t trust Kiska at all. With Danko it was 11 percent and with Fico 28 percent.

When it came to Danko, 2 percent weren’t able to make a definite judgement concerning his trustworthiness, while 5 percent said that they didn’t know him.

The question for the 1,000 respondents was: “What is your level of trust in the top three constitutional officials – the president, parliamentary chairman and prime minister? Provide your answers for each of them according to a four-degree scale.”
