Rasi Presents Two-stage Calls to Support Innovative Clusters and Firms

Bratislava, July 2 (TASR) – The Office of Vice-premier for Investments and Informatisation announced two two-stage calls with the aim of supporting innovative clusters and eight innovative firms totalling €830,000 in June, Vice-premier for Investments and Informatisation Richard Rasi (Smer-SD) told a news conference on Tuesday.

The innovative clusters should be Slovak incubators and accelerators that create conditions and search for firms with innovative potential, stated Rasi. Local innovative clusters will be supported during the first stage. “These should prepare educational programmes for Slovak innovative firms. Our incubators’ role is to seek firms with innovative potential,” explained Rasi.

During the second stage eight specific firms from among those interested will be supported, with two firms allocated stays in the USA and six in Israel.

Projects concerning the energy sector, information-communications technologies and the social sphere will involve the accelerator in the USA. Projects linked to cyber-security, biotechnology and Industry 4.0 have been determined for the stays in Israel. The calls are part of Slovak innovative diplomacy, stated Rasi.
