Slovak Medical Start-up Succeeds at Central European Start-up Competition
Bratislava, October 29 (TASR) – The Slovak-American start-up MultiplexDX, which deals with cancer diagnostics, has succeeded in the regional grand finale of the Central European Start-up Awards (CESAwards) competition in Poland by winning the Best Social Impact category within the Central and Eastern Europe region, TASR learnt on Monday.
After celebrating success in the national round of the CESAwards in Bratislava, MultiplexDX competed against start-ups from 10 countries at the regional grand finale in Warsaw, Poland last week.
“We’re very happy to manage to win the CESAwards as the first Slovak start-up in the competition of ten Central European countries. It’s a great honour for us to be the best start-up with the biggest impact on society and represent Slovakia in the world finale. At the same time it’s a great commitment for us to enable our innovations in cancer diagnosis to help patients cope with such a serious disease as soon as possible,” said one of the start-up co-founders Pavol Cekan.
Thanks to the win in the regional CESAwards competition, MultiplexDX will participate in the Global Start-up Awards in December and will compete against other start-ups from more than 60 countries world-wide.
