Three People Present Bids for KDH Chair at Council Session

Bratislava, May 28 (TASR) – Three people presented their bids for Christian Democratic Movement (KDH) chair at the party’s national Council session on Saturday – Eleonora Porubcova, Alojz Hlina and Miroslav Kral.

Nevertheless, this might not necessarily be the final number of candidates, interim party head Pavol Zajac told journalists after the session. He added that candidates can even be presented as late as at the national party congress on June 11 in Ruzomberok (Zilina region).

“Nevertheless, relevant candidates should have already presented themselves. Those who’ll have postponed their bids until the congress itself will be disadvantaged,” believes Zajac.

“These three candidates know that KDH should be a people’s movement, being able to solve economic, social and other issues troubling the people,” said Zajac, adding that the new chair should return KDH to Parliament. The party in the March general election failed to get in for the first time in its history.
