Zuzana Caputova Sworn in as Slovak President

Bratislava, June 15 (TASR) – Zuzana Caputova swore an oath before Constitutional Court chair Ivan Fiacan during a ceremonial parliamentary session held in the Slovak Philharmonic on Saturday, thereby officially assuming the presidential office.

“On my honour and conscience I affirm my faith in the Slovak Republic. I shall look after the welfare of the Slovak nation, national minorities and ethnic groups living in the Slovak Republic. I shall perform my duties in the interest of the people and shall protect and defend the Constitution and other laws,” said Caputova quoting Slovakia’s Constitution.
