Caputova and Zeman: Our Talks Saw No Disagreements
Prague/Bratislava, June 20 (TASR-correspondent) – The discussion between Slovak President Zuzana Caputova and her Czech counterpart Milos Zeman in Prague on Thursday didn’t include any disagreements, despite the broad spectrum of topics touched upon, the presidents declared after the talks.
“I’m not saying that some time in the future we won’t have different views, but there were no disagreements in the initial talks,” stated Caputova. This was confirmed by Zeman, who stated that they “haven’t encountered a single bone of contention”. Despite this, the meeting wasn’t boring, he stressed.
Zeman thanked Caputova for her responsiveness to his “unwavering efforts and the idea of setting up a Czech house in Bratislava”. Caputova replied that Zeman as then Czechoslovak prime minister was instrumental in ending the property disputes between the two nations when Czechoslovakia was divided.
Both expressed their willingness to participate in joint preparations for celebrating the 30th anniversary of the Velvet Revolution.
Caputova also invited Zeman on a reciprocal visit to Slovakia.
