Finance Ministry to Dismiss Tipos CEO

Bratislava, November 28 (TASR) – The Finance Ministry decided on Thursday to dismiss within a few days Jan B. from the post of CEO of state-run lottery and betting company Tipos, ministry spokesperson Alexandra Gogova told TASR on the same day.

Jan B. was detained by the police on Tuesday, with the media reporting that this could have been connected to an investigation into alleged cases of money laundering via Tipos.

It was announced on Thursday that a judge of the Specialised Criminal Court will decide on Friday on a prosecutor’s proposal to remand in custody two persons detained in the police raid at Tipos on Tuesday. Apart from arresting Jan B., the police were also seen taking away head of Tipos’s IT department Milos P.
