Bratislava, October 8 (TASR) – Bratislava Regional Police have arrested a 37-year-old Slovak citizen of Indian origin for the murder of a man of the same age from Bratislava and for serious injuries inflicted on another man, a Ukrainian national, near the German Embassy in the centre of Bratislava early on Saturday, TASR learnt on Sunday.

“According to the current information, the man from Bratislava who succumbed to the injuries and the Ukrainian national were attacked with a knife by the accused man following a verbal conflict. The attack had no terrorist motive,” stated Bratislava Regional Police directorate spokesperson Lucia Mihalikova.

According to earlier information in the media, the lethal attack seemed to have resulted from a brawl between a group of Slovaks and another one made up of foreigners.
