Danko Called on People to Go to Polls and Make Prudent Decisions

Bratislava, February 26 (TASR) – In his speech presented on Wednesday evening, Parliamentary Chair Andrej Danko (Slovak National Party/SNS) called on citizens to vote on Saturday (February 29), appealing to people to make prudent decisions.

“We have the right again to freely express our opinion on Saturday, February 29. Let’s use our constitutional right and let’s go to the polls,” he said, adding that we’re at the cross-roads of history. “This is not the first time that fate calls us to show courage and wisdom. During this period, the nature of our state is being decided. Let’s make prudent decisions based on sound judgement,” stated Danko.

According to him, there are several ways to choose from. “But only the one that leads to humility and self-knowledge is the right one. The one that relies on the values determined by our ancestors. Let’s not betray them, let’s listen to the voice of our heart and conscience,” noted Danko, adding that it’s necessary to differentiate those who work for the nation and those who have only empty promises.

“Let’s not be slaves in our own country. We are here at home. Let’s prove this in the upcoming election. Let’s preserve Slovakia as we know it and as we want it, also for the future generations,” emphasised Danko.
