Former President Michal Kovac Hospitalised
Bratislava, March 5 (TASR) – Former Slovak President Michal Kovac was taken to hospital in the Bratislava borough of Ruzinov on Saturday, TV Markiza reported on its website on the same day.
“The 85-year-old patient was transported to Ruzinov hospital,” Emergency Medical Service Operational Centre (OSZZS) spokesman Boris Chmel told TASR.
Kovac was the first President of independent Slovakia, serving his office in 1993-98. He celebrated his 85th birthday in August and has been hospitalised quite frequently recently.
