Cabinet Takes Summer Break until August 17

Bratislava, July 12 (TASR) – The Cabinet session last week has turned out to be the last before a summer recess, with ministers set to convene next time on August 17, Prime Minister Robert Fico’s spokesperson Beatrice Szaboova told TASR on Tuesday.

Nevertheless, it can’t be ruled out that the Cabinet will meet up even during the summer holidays in case of any emergence situation, noted Szaboova.

The Government of four parties – Smer-SD, Slovak National Party (SNS), Most-Hid and Siet (Network) – has held a total of 16 sessions since late March, when it was set up. This includes one “per rollam” session (with Government members not being physically present on one place), a two-day trip to Lucenec and Rimavska Sobota (Banska Bystrica region) in late June and one session in Brussels before the country assumed the Council of the EU Presidency.
