Danko: Preliminary Accord on 13th Salary Exempt from Taxes and Levies

We’ve already come to a preliminary agreement on the thirteenth salary that would be enacted by legislation and exempt from taxes and levies, said Parliamentary Chairman Andrej Danko (Slovak National Party/SNS) on TA3’s show ‘V politike’ (In Politics) on Sunday.

“It should amount to the level of the minimum wage and shouldn’t be burdened by taxes or levies. We’re talking about the waiving of health-care and social [insurance] payments for now,” explained Danko.”It should amount to the level of the minimum wage and shouldn’t be burdened by taxes or levies. The salary should be paid as of June 15 and December 15, after employees have worked for the given company for a certain period of time. “The business sector welcomes it as well. For the first time in its history Slovakia will have the benefit that an employer can pay you with an exemption from taxes and levies,” stressed Danko.
