Kiska: I Won't Found Any Political Party, Won't Run for Parliament Either

Bratislava, April 12 (TASR) – Slovak President Andrej Kiska announced in a video he posted on Facebook on Wednesday that he will not found any political party and will not run for an MP post, either.

“I’m not going to found a political party. I won’t run for Parliament. Naturally, I’m thus not considering the prime ministerial post, either,” stated Kiska.

Meanwhile, Kiska did not rule out his repeated candidacy for the presidential post. “I’ll let you all know whether I am again running as an independent, impartial candidate for the presidential post by the end of September 2018 at the latest, promised the president.

Kiska announced his decision not to found any political party a day after he disclosed that his wife is pregnant and is due to give birth to their next baby in August. In this connection he’s decided to publish a statement regarding his political future.
