Minister Cislak Files Criminal Complaint over Scaremongering

Bratislava, February 1 (TASR) – Health Minister Viliam Cislak is filing a criminal complaint concerning scaremongering with respect to claims by nurses that health care has been put in jeopardy, TASR learnt on Monday.

Cislak takes objection to statements by organisations representing nurses, according to which health care for over a million patients has been put under threat. Speaking at a press briefing on Monday, Cislak stressed that proper health care is being provided.
“A total of 540 nurses have left our hospitals. As a human being I feel sorry, but I also need to underline that health care is being fully provided to all patients, even those in Zilina and Presov regions. We provide adequate health treatment, safe for patients,” said Cislak.
The minister also stated that the nurses who were “roped in” by their representatives and handed in their resignations are jobless at the moment.
