Trnava, April 1 (TASR) – Prime Minister Peter Pellegrini (Smer-SD) during his visit to Trnava on Monday said that he believes he’ll find in newly elected president Zuzana Caputova a partner with whom he’ll be able to discuss how to address Slovakia’s problems in a constructive and intensive manner.
“I’m ready for such a discussion,” he said. Meanwhile, he thanked unsuccessful candidate Maros Sefcovic for running for the post of head of the state, praising his campaign and stating that he did his utmost during two months on the hustings.
Pellegrini said that he could imagine Sefcovic on the domestic political scene as well. “Based on what he’s shown during the campaign, when I saw how people reacted to Sefcovic when meeting him, I think he has something to offer at home as well,” stated the prime minister.
