SaS Wants Kiska to Publish Documents Linking KTAG and His Campaign

Bratislava, May 30 (TASR) – The Opposition Freedom and Solidarity (SaS) party has called on Slovak President Andrej Kiska to publish all the documents concerning interconnections between the financing of his presidential campaign and his family firm KTAG, TASR learnt on Wednesday.

With regards to information that has recently appeared in the media, the institution of the Slovak president is losing its seriousness and dignity, stated the liberals. “We think that in the given situation Andrej Kiska should publish all contracts for the work that he ordered from KTAG within his unofficial and official campaigns, as well as invoices that KTAG sent to him after carrying out this work and documents proving that the president has settled these invoices from private resources,” said SaS representatives.

SaS believes that this is a direct way towards clarifying the whole case. In this connection they pointed to the fact that the public is uncertain whether documents from Kiska’s presidential campaign that are being revealed by the media are fake or copies of the originals.

Hospodarske Noviny daily reported on Wednesday that KTAG filed 15 corrected tax returns. These reportedly concerned a tax office inspection that was carried out at KTAG at the turn of 2017 and 2018. The additional tax returns no longer contained the expenditures on Kiska’s presidential campaign in 2014. The circumstances have been confirmed by the president’s spokesman Roman Krpelan.
