Polling Stations Open for Parliamentary Election
Bratislava, February 29 (TASR) – The parliamentary election in Slovakia began at 7 a.m. on Saturday, with polling stations across the country due to stay open until 10 p.m.
A total of 24 political parties are running in the race.
According to estimates by the Slovak Statistics Office, there are more than 4.4 million eligible voters. The election is bound to cost state coffers more than €12.6 million.
The polling stations will close at 10 p.m. and the counting of ballots ensue. Final results are to be announced on Sunday, March 1.
