SaS Presents Its Slate for European Parliament Elections

Bratislava, February 24 (TASR) – The opposition Freedom and Solidarity (SaS) party presented its slate for the elections to the European Parliament on Sunday.
The SaS slate will be headed by MP Eugen Jurzyca, with MP Alojz Baranik in second place and MP Lucia Duris Nicholsonova in third.

“Important decisions regarding Slovakia are made in Brussels, and if we want to have any influence over them, we have to have formidable and honest representatives there,” stated SaS leader Richard Sulik, who is pleased with the whole slate, especially the first three candidates.

According to him, Jurzyca as an MEP would promote a ‘slim’ EU that would be ready for more difficult times. Baranik wants to improve the level of the rule of law in Slovakia, while Duris Nicholsonova would like to focus on social matters. The slate contains fourteen candidates. SaS will launch its campaign on April 2.

The elections will take place on May 25 in Slovakia. Voters will vote for 14 MEPs.
