Unemployment in All Trencin Districts under National Average in January
Trencin, February 23 (TASR) – The average unemployment rate in Trencin region in January was 7.71 percent, a decrease of 0.18 percentage points month-on-month, announced the Labour, Social Affairs and the Family Centre on Tuesday.
The unemployment rate was lower than the country’s average in all nine districts of Trencin region, as the average unemployment rate in Slovakia in January was 10.39 percent, a reduction of 0.24 p.p. m-o-m.
Among districts in the region, the highest unemployment rate in January was found to be in Prievidza district (10.32 percent), while the lowest was in Puchov region (5.22 percent), meaning that the latter had the fourth lowest jobless rate among the 79 Slovak districts.
Concerning Slovak districts as a whole, the lowest unemployment rate in January was in Bratislava I district (4.56 percent). Conversely, the highest rate was recorded in Rimavska Sobota district in Banska Bystrica region (27.41 percent).
