Young Afghan Attacks Two Men with Knife in Bratislava

Bratislava, February 7 (TASR) – A police investigator has pressed charges of wounding, rowdiness and unlawful threats against a 22-year-old man from Afghanistan who set upon two men with a knife in Bratislava on Sunday, Bratislava regional police directorate spokesperson Lucia Mihalikova told TASR on Tuesday.

The Afghan became involved in a verbal conflict with two men aged 20 and 22 in front of a fast food outlet late in the afternoon. He then attacked them with a knife, causing injuries to both of them that will require a week of recovery.

“During the attack the charged person allegedly also threatened the injured men with death,” said the police spokesperson.

If convicted, the Afghan could be sentenced to jail for as long as ten years.
