Interior Ministry in Tender for Digital Traffic Fines System
Bratislava, January 26 (TASR) – The Interior Ministry has announced a tender for an electronic system that would automatically record traffic violations, TASR learnt on Tuesday from the website of the Public Procurement Office (UVO).
Worth €140 million (without VAT), the contract calls for the design, implementation and administration of the system of monitoring traffic. The tender is worth €140 million without VAT, UVO reports on its website.
“The system has to cover the whole process,” according to UVO. That includes capturing the traffic violation on video, through collection and assessment of all relevant evidence up to the levying of the fine.
