Photos of Filip Kulisev Present Slovakia's Presidency at UN in New York

Bratislava/New York, July 14 (TASR) – Slovak Foreign and European Affairs Minister Miroslav Lajcak at the United Nations in New York on Wednesday opened an exhibition of Slovak photographer and traveller Filip Kulisev called Amazing Planet, TASR learnt on Thursday.

People that will visit the UN headquarters between July 13-22 will be able to admire photographs from national parks in the North and South America, Asia, Africa, Australia, Europe, as well as photos from Slovakia depicting a water mill on the Little Danube River, Krivan mountain or the Spis Castle.

“Filip Kulisev’s exhibition is currently at the most suitable venue. His photographs depict the uniqueness and beauty of this planet. The UN bears the main responsibility for the preservation of the Earth with its natural and cultural heritage,” said Lajcak, adding that people often don’t realise the splendour of our planet in their bustling lives. “Filip’s shots bear witness to beauties of our planet, as well to what talent Slovakia produces,” noted Lajcak.

This is Kulisev’s first exhibition at the UN headquarters. “I really appreciate the opportunity to present my works in this place. I like UN initiatives relating to the environmental protection. I’m glad that I can contribute to the preservation of our planet and its beauties for the future generations,” said Kulisev.

The exhibition was organised under the patronage of Slovakia’s Permanent Mission to the UN with Frantisek Ruzicka at its helm. Ruzicka said that this exhibition, which was organised on the occasion of Slovakia’s Presidency of the Council of the EU would like to reaffirm Slovakia’s determination to support the implementation of global agreements on sustainable development and the fight against the climate change.
