Bratislava, April 7 (TASR) – Eva Babitzova has resigned as Sanca (Chance) chair following the party’s disappointing result in the general election in March (0.25 percent), TASR learnt on Thursday.

Babitzova made the announcement on Facebook, adding that she won’t run for the post again at the next party congress.

“I’m acting as I believe that every leader should act in the world of decent and civilised politics following such a result,” stated Babitzova.

“I’m doing everything possible to make sure that Sanca continues. Slovakia needs a party promoting fundamental democratic and civilised values. Slovakia is now in a difficult situation, with the fundamental emotion being anger, and the biggest mistakes are committed in anger,” she wrote.
