Government Proxy for Roma Pollak Wants PG to Ban LSNS

Bratislava, March 15 (TASR) – The goals of the far-right Kotleba-People’s Party Our Slovakia (LSNS) and its programme fly in the face of the law, Government Proxy for Roma Communities Peter Pollak said on Tuesday, citing the results of a legal analysis.

Furthermore, LSNS statements on the Roma made in the party’s election programme and during campaigning prompted the Government proxy to file a motion with the Prosecutor-General’s Office to ban LSNS.

Pollak proposes the drafting of a comprehensive review based on a historical comparative analysis to evaluate LSNS activities.

“Such an analysis should be drafted also with respect to members of this political party throughout the entire course of its development. The review should also contain all legal complaints with regards to the activities of the party and its members,” said Pollak, who added that such a comprehensive review could be used by a prosecutor to evaluate whether criminal prosecutions against LSNS members are in order.
