Poll: Kiska Most-trusted Politician in Slovakia; Kotleba Least-trusted
Bratislava, November 22 (TASR) – According to the results of a recent AKO agency poll, President Andrej Kiska is viewed as the most trustworthy politician in Slovakia, enjoying the trust of 66 percent of the respondents, while Marian Kotleba of the far-right People’s Party Our Slovakia (LSNS) is seen as the least trustworthy, as 77 percent of the respondents don’t trust him.
The poll, which was carried on a sample of 1,000 respondents between November 14-18, showed that Bela Bugar of the governing coalition Most-Hid party was the runner-up in the list of most trustworthy politicians on 47 percent, followed by Opposition Freedom and Solidarity (SaS) party head Richard Sulik on 41 percent.
Other politicians recorded the following results – OLaNO party chair Igor Matovic and We Are Family party leader Boris Kollar – both 37 percent, Prime Minister and Smer-SD chairman Robert Fico – 34 percent, Parliamentary Chair and Slovak National Party (SNS) leader Andrej Danko – 31 percent, Christian Democratic Movement (KDH) chief Alojz Hlina – 24 percent, and Kotleba – 18 percent.
As already stated, Kotleba topped the list of least trustworthy politicians in the survey on 77 percent, followed by Fico and Danko, both on 63 percent. Next came Kollar – 59 percent, Matovic – 58 percent, Sulik – 53 percent, Bugar – 50 percent, Hlina – 45 percent and Kiska – 31 percent.
