Tourist Bus Turns Over On Its Side Near Trnava, 25 Injured

Trnava, July 1 (TASR) – At least 25 people sustained injuries as a Slovak tourist bus carrying 52 passengers turned over on its side following a slide on a first-category road between the villages of Bucany and Trakovice (Trnava region) on Saturday, Trnava regional police spokesperson Martina Kredatusova told TASR on the same day.
Following the slide, the bus hit a slope on the roadside and turned over.
A 52-year old woman appeared to have suffered the most serious injuries, including some concerning the backbone, an arm and the abdominal area. She was transported by a medical helicopter to the University Hospital in Bratislava-Kramare. The medevac crew then returned for a 60-year old man with injuries of the chest and an arm, and took him to the University Hospital in Bratislava-Ruzinov.
Other injured people were transported to hospitals in Trnava, Galanta and Piestany (all Trnava region).
