Bratislava, April 30 (TASR) – Prime Minister Robert Fico remains hospitalised at the National Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases (NUSCH) in Bratislava over this weekend, even though his condition has improved, NUSCH spokesperson Dobroslava Krajacicova told TASR on Saturday.
“It’s better and better with him. It’s going in a good direction,” said Krajacicova, adding that it still hasn’t been decided when Fico could be released, however.
The prime minister, who’s been in hospital since April 14, underwent an unspecified heart surgery on April 22.
Deputy Premier and Interior Minister Robert Kalinak, who represented Fico at the most recent Government session on Friday, said that the prime minister is carrying out many of his duties even from the hospital ward. “For example, he’s already signed the first law adopted by this Government,” said Kalinak.
